The Healing Centre ?

Just got back from a quick, short break in Khandala (around 100 kms from Mumbai). The resort's baseline says its a "...a resort and a healing centre". Before we checked in, i thought of a healing centre with its array of Ayurvedic spas and massages, special oils to rub on the fat indiscplined bodies to get them back into shape (if they can ever..!) and a meditation centre where the peace and environs will soothe your headache and numb your senses and get rid of the stress. But surprisingly this healing centre offered none of the above. It showed a very simple and obvious route to modern day healing. It keeps you disconnected. No networks. No internet / broadband conncections. No Dish TV connections.
Instead, it keeps you connected to yourself, within. With your family. And with a long forgotten habit of visiting a neighbourhood 'real world' library. This resort is one of the few, which offers a no-charge of library of over 100 books (fiction/non fiction). Picture this. Amidst the hills of Khandala, in the middle of peace and quiet, lying on the hammock reading a long forgotten novel or in a quiet corner of the game room, re-establishing links with your daughter and wife. This really keeps you connected within yourself. If this is not healing, from the modern world of connections and revertals, what is ?

Have Faith ; Rewards will follow...
